(CNN) -- A blaze in a New York apartment killed three brothers under age 5 late Friday, police said.
The brothers were ages 5,
2 and 4 months, CNN affiliate WABC reported. Their mother and sisters
ages 4 and 4 months escaped the flames and smoke in the Bronx apartment.
They received treatment for smoke inhalation at a hospital, the affiliate said.
At least three more
people suffered injuries and were taken to hospital, the fire department
said. Firefighters had the blaze under control late Friday.
